About Drops of Worlds, Worlds of Drops:
Created from recycled, handmade laces from all over the world, Worlds of Drops/ Drops of Worlds contain drops of individuals‘ memories and emotions from our world... these often being teardrops, be it from joy or pain, reflecting all the possible other worlds in their droplets... floating in the black ocean of space.

Eva Petrič: “My exhibited lace assemblages: Worlds of Drops… Drops of Worlds…are expressing the emotions that belong to us humans, not just by the form of the definition of teardrops, but also by the way in which they came about. All the laces that are composing them which i assembled and sewed together in the form of teardrops were hand made by anonymous individuals from all over the world… As such, they are capsules of emotions, of also those of who have created them. For me, they are expressing the formula of life, for after all it is said, that the cosmos and all that is within it is a part of  a multi layered fabric, where space and time are the threads being woven; in other words, the fabric of space and time.”

About Eva Petrič:
Multimedia artist Eva Petrič creates within the fields of photography, video, performance, installation, sound and literature. One of her main artistic engagements is to create space: physical space, mental space, imaginary space, metaphorical space, all defined by atmosphere, while connecting various media and observing the connections between them.

Since 2012 Petrič has been creating monumental, recycled lace assemblages made from donated and collected hand made lace, which tell the story of the sentimental value of textiles throughout the lives of individuals and their wish for the participatory role of donated laces within contemporary artistic interpretation. Lace from all around the world, united in artworks created by Petrič, carry the message of collectivity, female empowerment and reverence of tangible cultural heritage that has been passed down in the form of lace making, from generation to generation, mostly among women.
