About Take A Chance:
Opposing prisms of sensuous rainbow colors hover above mountain-like shapes, with small handwritten text asking the viewer whether they will ever know if they can succeed at something if they never try in the first place.

Layers and layers of different tones of gold acrylic paint are applied using various techniques on the canvas. Pops of yellow peek throughout the background, adding to the glowing effect. A resin overlay is poured between the two prisms, creating energy between the two points with its rapid gestures.

Vanessa Pineda Fox is an artist who graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a major in graphic design. While she loved working on the computer for various startups and agencies, her passion for creating art by hand truly blossomed when she became a mom. After the busy baby years, she found more time to explore new skills and dive into painting.

As an artist, she strives to connect emotionally with her audience. Her work often features bright, saturated colors or dreamy whites and cream palettes with handwritten words of encouragement woven into her pieces. For her, it's like telling a story on the canvas, with each title and phrase reflecting her stream of consciousness. She loves experimenting with different textures, using metallics, mattes, and resin to play with light.

Lately, she has been focusing on acrylics and incorporating new materials into her work. Her pieces can be found in local retail locations and galleries around the New York area. She hopes her art speaks to you and creates a happy state of mind on the canvas.
