Hold the front page! MAISON 10 has been making the news this month. AMNY featured us in its story about the new NoMad Piazza, which is now “a vibrant, year-round destination." You can read the full article here.
The New York Times also included the Piazza in its feature about what to do in the city for a staycation.
And Patch followed up with this news.
“The artist presents work that engages its viewer through evocative imagery, strong colors, and skilled technique,” it says. “Even her works’ titles demand consideration: ‘The question isn’t who’s going to let me,’ ‘Be strong enough to stand alone,’ and ‘When it’s time for me to walk away from something.’
“The conversation she engages in places women squarely at the center. In most pieces, her subject’s eyes are obscured by shapes, which are unmistakably maps of the United States. Rivera explains. ‘Because it’s like we’re blind. We’re not seeing what’s going on.’"
The exhibition continues until the end of this month - come in and see us soon.
