John Waters (born 1946) is an American filmmaker, actor, writer, and artist. He rose to fame in the early 1970s for his cult films.
This 2014 C-Print photograph titled, 'Poultry' was part of his art exhibitions. His signature style of camp, bad taste, and transgressive humour, similar to his famous cult films like Pink Flamingos and Hairspray, where he often incorporated odd., provocative imagery and explored social norms through humour and shocking visuals, including the use of kitschy items like plastic flamingos.
