MAISON 10 x URBANA CAFE + GALLERY
Urbana Cafe and Gallery blends the world of coffee and art in a cozy space nestled in NYC’s Chelsea art district. MAISON TEN has curated a new selection of artworks from local contemporary artist, Kate Fauvell who makes her solo show debut featuring original artworks to admire and inspire while enjoying a freshly brewed beverage (or two).
Kate has a habit of taking pictures to document and comprehend the world we live in. She uses these photos to design photo-based collage paintings. Instead of using a paintbrush, she replaces it with torn pieces of photographs. Kate is a true New Yorker and is well-accustomed to change. She believes that change is a natural process and creates artwork that conveys this idea.
