About Claire Hashman:
Born in Canberra, Australia to migrant parents from England and India, Claire's unconventional upbringing was shaped by extensive travel, including a year in a European campervan at age 8 and another in Bangalore at 16 with her photographer mother emphasizing art galleries and social justice over traditional education. After health issues interrupted her high school education, she persevered through community college to qualify for law school, graduating from the Australian National University in 2007 before becoming an award-winning construction and real estate lawyer in Sydney specializing in sustainability.

Her artistic journey intensified in 2018 when she began a Master of Art at the University of NSW before relocating to New York in 2019 to study with the Art Students League, developing two distinct creative themes: one examining humanity's environmental impact and another, titled "Viscera and Light," exploring personal experiences and femininity.

In 2024, Claire expanded her creative portfolio by launching Hashman Bites, a sustainable jewelry and wearable art line made from upcycled teeth aligners that would otherwise be non-recyclable waste. Today, she successfully balances her careers as a practicing lawyer, exhibiting artist, and sustainable jewelry designer in New York City.
