About Miljan Suknovic:
Miljan Suknovic's practice is the product of a life lived across cultures — trained in Belgrade, Prague, Florence, Hamburg, and New York, his paintings carry the weight of that restless curiosity. Constantly evolving through material, space, and color, his work resists easy categorization, always testing its own limits.
Florence, where he spent seven years immersed in the Renaissance, left an indelible mark — its influence threads quietly through the formal rigor and luminous quality of his canvases. Yet Suknovic is equally at home in the monumental: large-scale murals in Florence, Bologna, and New York; immersive painting installations at the R. Livingston Beeckman Mansion, Tower 49, World Trade Center's Tower 7, and JFK Airport.
His international exhibition record spans solo shows at Union Gallery, Slag Gallery, and Catherine Ahnell Gallery in New York, Ken's Art Gallery in Florence, and Petalouda Art Gallery in Naxos, with a dedicated survey exhibition — Constellations — held at the Museum of Porto Montenegro. His work is held in private and public collections worldwide, including an acquisition by the Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas for the Boulevard Penthouses.
